 What if I cannot attend my appointment with CIC? Can I reschedule it?


Yes. If you are not available on the date and time of your appointment, reply to the local office that sent you the invitation with your reason why you cannot attend the appointment. You must tell us within 30 days of the date of the appointment. We will reschedule your appointment on a different date.

If you did not attend your appointment, you must contact the local office where your appointment was scheduled within 30 days of the date of the appointment to tell us why you missed your appointment. If you do not contact us in time, we can close your application. You will have to apply for citizenship again.
